IP65/IP68 & DMX Architectural Lighting for Residential, Commercial & Public Projects

In June 2018, we had the opportunity to provide lighting solutions for a new town construction by a Real Estate Investment Limited in Iraq. Our lighting proposal, included as part of the BOQ, was accepted and carried out jointly with a European lighting designer and a local engineering team.

To support the project’s completion, two of our engineers were on site for two months, working closely with a 7-member local crew. Together, we completed the full installation using a wide mix of LED lighting fixtures designed for outdoor spaces, building architecture, walkways, fountains, and palm trees.  These included:

• 105 pcs of RGB DMX downlights for ambient effects
• 218 meters of neon strip lights for cove lighting around spring water areas
• 474 meters of IP68 LED strips paired with aluminum profiles
• 18 meters of flower lamps placed in decorative pots
• 262 pcs of garden lights with waterproof modules
• 335 pcs of outdoor wall lights
• 129 pcs of linear light bars
• 82 pcs of RGB LED flood lights
• 538 pcs of outdoor DMX-controlled spotlights

All fixtures were chosen to meet the climate conditions in Iraq, featuring IP68 waterproof ratings and outdoor-ready LED drivers.

Lighting Design Focus Areas:

Wall Washer Light on Building Facades
Our linear wall washer lights spread soft, even light across building surfaces. These fixtures help reveal textures and architectural form clearly both day and night.

Fountain Area Spotlights
For the fountain areas, spotlights were positioned to reflect off cascading water. These lights make the water more visible and eye-catching after dark, turning each fountain into a point of interest.

Tree Strap Landscape Lighting
Strap-mounted tree lights allow trees to be gently illuminated from below or within the canopy. This method highlights trunk textures and branch structure while blending well with the environment.

Waterproof Outdoor Lights String & Neon Accents
Using waterproof outdoor lights string and neon ropes, we outlined borders, bridges, and paths. These lights help guide movement through the space without adding excessive brightness.

Custom Trade Show LED Mesh Displays
Though originally created for event applications, some sections of this project also used our flexible LED mesh displays. These mesh panels were installed on curved and non-flat structures to display lighting effects.

Weatherproof Outdoor LED Modules for Demanding Conditions
All installed modules featured IP-rated components tested for resistance to dust and moisture. The lighting system continues to operate well years after installation.

Outdoor DMX-controlled spotlights for Statue
All LED fixtures were installed with DMX512 protocol support and outdoor-rated drivers.

This project demonstrates outdoor lighting in large residential or mixed-use developments. Whether lighting palm trees, wall surfaces, or landscaped water features, thoughtful placement and IP65/IP68-rated fixtures make long-term night illumination possible.
